Statement of Faith

Christian Doulas of Michigan cannot promise you that every doula you contact will align with you theologically on every level. However this is our statement of faith that we consider non-negotiable. All Doulas featured on our website have to agree to this statement of faith. 


Salvation

 

We believe that salvation is given through the grace of God to all those who would repent from their sins and believe in the saving power of the Gospel, that is that Jesus Christ died on the cross to bear the punishment for our sins, and rose again on the third day. Salvation is by nothing that we can do on our own, but fully through the work of God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit in our lives. (John 1:12; Eph 1:4-7; 2:8-10, 1 Pet 1:18, 19) I believe that it is the free will of the believer to choose salvation (John 3:16, John 6:37-40) while in the very same right God in His omnipotence knew and chose each believer before the foundation of the world. (Eph 1:4-11) A true believer will exhibit spiritual fruit and produce evidence of the sanctification and justification of the Lord in their life.


 

Scripture

We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, and so the 66 books of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the entire Word of God (1 Cor 2:7-14 2 Pet 1:20)  we believe that

 the Word of God is verbally inspired in every word (2 Tim 3:16 and is absolutely inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed.
